In 1991, South Africa returned to Miss World after 13 years hiatus with Diane Tilde Davis and started what would become an unprecedented 9 years streak for the country

As you may have guessed, United Kingdom, the monarchy where Miss World royalty started, is on the top of the list with a jaw-breaking record of 29 consecutive placements from 1958 to 1986. Since then, United Kingdom seems to lose its steam a bit, only managed to place 5 more times in a 13 years span, before it was dissolved and split into the current four British entities format in 2000.

No other country has ever managed to come close to United Kingdom record, leaving United Kingdom miles ahead in a comfortable lead. The second place on the list only managed to make 10 consecutive placements, an honor shared by United States and France. United States however still has two more streaks on the list to boast. The second one is at joint fifth place, shared with Israel, with 8 consecutive placements from 1960 to 1967 while the third one is at joint ninth with 6 8 consecutive placements from 1988 to 1993.

Another country with 3 streaks on the list is South Africa. South Africa first streak came in 6 years streak which happened from 1957 to 1962. Several years later, it broke its own record with a 7 years streak from 1969 to 1975. Shortly afterwards, in 1978, South Africa withdrew from Miss World due to a controversy regarding its racist national politics system. It returned to Miss World in 1991 when it made its best streak ever so far, 9 consecutive placements from 1991 to 1999. It is interesting to note that South Africa latest streak occurred during the decade when the country became the predominant host for Miss World pageant.

Latin powerhouse Venezuela joined the list at joint seventh with a 7 years streak which includes two out of its six victories in 1991 and 1995. Its fellow Latin country, Mexico, followed closely with a 6 years streak. Mexico streak occurred during 2004 to 2009, making it as the most recent streak to occur in the list.

The beautiful and exotic Shakira Baskh, third place at Miss World 1967 and one of the six Miss Guyana winners who placed consecutively at Miss World

Officially we only try to include Top 10 longest streaks in the list, but due to several ties, we ended up with 4 more streaks. Joining United States, South Africa, and Mexico in a 6 way tie for ninth position on the list are Australia, Germany, and surprisingly Guyana. Nowadays Guyana may usually only serve as a cellar dweller in pageantry but back in time, it was once a force to reckon with. Guyana streak occurred from 1966 to 1971 which includes a Second Runner Up placement and two Third Runner Up placements.

So that is all, the Top 14 longest streak at Miss World so far. Will any new nations break the record and join this prestigious list anytime soon? Just wait and see!
